Youth Villages’ Residential Treatment programs serve children with emotional and behavioral problems. Our residential campuses provide the setting for an intensive treatment program that combines the unique balance of structure and freedom. This enables children and their families to identify, understand and cope with their individual needs and develop the skills necessary to succeed in less restrictive settings. We have three different types of facilities—Intensive Residential Centers, Open Campuses, and Group Homes. Located in Tennessee, Georgia and Massachusetts, all of these facilities utilize the Re-Education of Emotionally Disturbed Children therapy model (Re-Ed).
Work directly with 8-10 youth on a daily basis providing individual, group and family therapy to each resident
Complete admissions and discharges for the youth on our Residential campuses
Facilitating treatment meetings and consultation
A Master's degree in a social services discipline is required
Degrees that can be considered include: social work, counseling, psychology, or marriage and family therapy. Other degrees will have to be evaluated further to determine if they meet the qualifications.
Must be willing to pursue Tennessee licensure with supervision provided
One year of counseling experience is required
Experience in a residential setting is preferred
Experience working with an eating disorder population strongly preferred
Experience working with at-risk youth is a preferred
Experience working with youth is required
Excellent written, verbal, and oral skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
Basic computer knowledge
Ability to maintain a flexible schedule
Current YV employees must have been employed for at least 6 months in current position
Driver's license required
