Responsibilities

Program Overview


Our Intercept program serves a broad population of youth, including those involved with multiple child-serving systems and those at high risk of removal from their families.  The program specializes in diverting youth from out of home placements by helping their families safely maintain youth in their home environment. This position is responsible for providing intensive home-based therapy to families.

 

Position Overview

  • Market all Youth Villages' services specifically focusing on Intercept, continually learn about Youth Villages' programs, improve marketing skills, and keep abreast of competition.
  • Meet or exceed Intercept census goals as written on TN state growth plan regarding your specific region.
  • Build positive relationships while pursuing case referrals through informational meetings, open houses, trade and agency shows and other outreach.
  • Establish relationships with key community providers including psychologists, psychiatrists, employee assistance people, insurance carriers, mental health centers, school groups, community groups, juvenile court personnel, human service workers and social workers.
  • Identify new referral sources and build relationships with existing referrers.
  • Respond to customer service needs and monitor customer satisfaction.
  • Complete Pre-placement assessments for the purpose of securing funding and communicate progress and barriers to the appropriate customers.
  • Identify key state-level contacts for the purpose of assessing state-wide mental health services and the needs of children and families in assigned territory.
  • Participate in provider organizations of which Youth Villages is a member.
  • Maintain ongoing contact with key referral sources through presentations, meetings, phone calls, emails, mailings and other outreach.
  • Engage in mass mailing/e-mailing, cold calls, and other efforts to make individuals aware of Youth Villages.
  • Manage a large base of diverse referral sources and understand each referral source's problems and needs.
  • Conduct market research, analyze results and develop marketing plans for Youth Villages’ growth in your assigned region in Tennessee (TN).
  • Be willing to travel to all areas of Tennessee, sometimes overnight, to engage in marketing activities

Qualifications

Requirements


Master's degree in Social Work, Drug and Alcohol Education or Counseling, Counseling, Psychology,
Criminal Justice, Guidance Counseling, Human Services, Marriage and Family Therapy - OR -


Bachelor’s degree in a behavioral science that includes 30 semester or 45 quarter hours in human
development, human behavior, child development, family intervention technique, diagnostic measures
or therapeutic techniques will be considered

 

Excellent community relational and marketing skill
Excellent writing skills
Excellent organizational, multitasking skill
Ability to meet challenging deadlines
Must have 6 months experience with Youth Villages
