Youth Villages is seeking a Public Relations Intern. The Public Relations intern will assist the Public Relations staff with day-to-day duties, special events and special projects. Focuses on completing tactics for public relations plans and creating content.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Must be enrolled in bachelor-level or above studies in public relations or journalism or have completed a degree in those fields. Must have successfully completed a newswriting course or have equal experience in PR/newswriting.
LOCATION
This is an in-office position located in Bartlett, Tennessee, at the Youth Villages Operations Center with flexible hours to fit school schedule.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Ability to apply high degree of computer skills including knowledge of hardware capabilities, word processing, data base management, and desk top publishing. Ability to use a calculator and other office equipment. Ability to manage multiple agendas with a minimum of supervision and ability to meet deadlines. Ability to apply skills in English grammar, punctuation, newswriting, Associated Press style and proofreading. Ability to maintain flexible hours as needed. Ability to apply skills in teamwork.
